OK so I am a little late on this whole new years resolution thing. To be fair I don’t really put a lot of stock into them anyway. But I am trying something new. I have been playing around with the idea of starting some sort of blog for a while now. I finally just went for it and am going to hang on for the ride.
I wanted to start a blog but I really have no idea what to talk about. I don’t have anything special about me that makes my life any better or worse than anyone else. I do have a new love for nature, hiking, biking, camping etc. So I thought, hey the blog could be about outdoor things. Then I thought, so many other people out there are doing the same thing. Then I thought about cooking, or doing something with food. But I think more people are blogging about food than there are foods to eat. I could talk about make up, but my confidence isn’t there quite yet. I could talk about working out and dieting but then again the muscle men and Dr Oz have beat me to that and they are more educated on those things than I could ever hope to be.
So what do I do? I am just going to blog about anything and everything my little heart desires. Some of you will say that is not a good idea because people want consistency and people go to websites to read things that they are interested in. Well I am here to tell you that this website might be the one people go to for variety. You never know what I might be in the mood for. If you are into spontaneity then this blog is for you.
There are so many things in the world to keep us busy and interested, how are you supposed to pick just one or two to feel passionate about. I know when I get more than a couple of options to choose from, my brain kind of overheats and doesn’t know what to do. I swear you can see me trying to connect the dots. It’s the same look you get when you are trying to do long division without a calculator. I hate going grocery shopping for this reason.
It’s not the actual shopping that bugs me, it is the endless amount of options to choose from with several different price points. How can one can of green beans be .64c and another be $1.68?! I just don’t get it. Then there are 10 options to choose from, with 5 different brands. My husband always says there is no reason anyone should be starving or without food to put on their table because of the excessive amounts of food provided for us in the grocery store. I think he is absolutely right.
Anyway, I would say I need to get back on track but like I said before there is no rhyme or reason to anything on this blog. Maybe that is a good thing and maybe I will be asked to take it down because I am a disgrace to the blogging world. Either way it will be interesting to see what happens.
